Mosquito Dunks

Dunk these little donuts with Bt israeliensis into any standing water where mosquitoes or black flies are likely to hatch, such as gutters, bird baths, or small garden pools. They kill the larvae of these insects before they can hatch. Mosquitoes start growing in water that has sat for four days and starts growing algae.

Mosquito dunks and other Bacillis thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) products kill the developing larvae. The Bti kills just mosquito larvae and doesn't affect fish, frogs, or other animals. It is safe to use in fish ponds, watering troughs, and around animals. The Bti is dead bacteria and will not propagate, so you need to add it regularly when mosquitoes grow. Mosquito dunks for mosquito larvae use 1 per 100 square feet of water surface per month.
