Common Lady Bug

Lady Beetles, which are sometimes called Lady Bugs or Lady Bird Beetles, are familiar insects in may parts of the United States. For the most part, Lady Beetles are beneficial predators that consume aphids, scale insects, and many other pests that injure plants in our gardens, landscapes, and argicultural settings. Please do not confuse these Lady Bugs with the invasive insects that invade people's houses and make a nuisance of themselves. These Lady Bugs do not ever congregate like their bothersome cousins "The Multi-Colored Asian Beetle" Harmonia, which are native to Asia. Also called the "Halloween Lady Beetle."
