Thrips & Mite Control

Spider Mites - Natural Controls
Spider mites and their webbing can be washed off with a mild detergent and a water rinse. Pruning heavily infested branches can slow the spread of these pests, as can isolate infested plants.
Many species of predacious mite, including Phytoseiulus persimilis, Mesoseiulus longpipes, Neoseiulul californicus, and Galendromus occidentalis, are available to use for your garden or crops.
Horticultural oils and insecticide soap provide some control.
Thrips - Natural Controls
Eggs of thrips over-winter in host plants, so make sure to clean up onions and other crops after the frost.
Thrips can be trapped with sticky yellow traps. They can be slowed by spraying plants with water frequently. In severe cases, spraying with insecticidal soap is effective.
